There are so many of my favourite places down here ... a visit is the only way you are going to see such beautiful rugged coastlines and fine beaches for all the family.

Just 10 minutes drive from us is the beach at Marazion, which curves around the bay to Penzance.
- Featuring the quaint village of Marazion.
- Interesting shops to browse, a hotel serving fine food, and nearby Sailing Club.
- Pay-and-display parking.
- Childrens play facilities and a funfair in Summer Hols.
- Public conveniences.
- Causeway to the Mount .. and oh yes .. and a wonderful beach, with rock pools for the kids to explore!

Here is the gorgeous Carbis Bay, only 20 minutes away. Across the inlet you can see Hayle beach with more than 5 miles of golden sand.

- A hotel serving fine food for all tastes.

- And guess what? .. an amazing beach (though a bit crowded in summer), with good surf when big swells are running!

An easy 30 minutes drive and you reach the charming harbour and town of St. Ives.
- Featuring a town of great character, with winding streets.
- Loadsa shops to browse.
- Plenty of restaurants and cafes with delicious menus.
- Pay-and-display parking .. and park-and-ride scheme from Lelant.
- Tate St Ives - a unique modern art gallery.
- Surprise, surprise .. Porthmeor Beach (the beach to surf at St Ives - though not for beginners)!

Here is the fun-tastic Flambards theme park, at Helston, only 20 minutes from us.
- Featuring terrific fun rides for all the family.
- Plenty of parking, and pay-to-enter theme park - featuring the famous Victorian Village and "Britain in the Blitz".
- Childrens play facilities.
- Various food outlets.
- Public conveniences.
- Firework displays throughout the season .. like they say on Pirate FM .. "The best day of the week"!!

Well worth the 40 minutes drive, is a trip to the world famous Lands End.
Some people have been known to walk all the way from the North of Scotland just to see the place!!

Although not strictly local, but definitly worth the 50 minutes of driving, is
the incredible Eden Project at St. Austell.
- Featuring the impressive biomes .. home to many exotic (and endangered) species of trees and plants.
- Plenty of parking.
- Wonderfully entertaining educational displays.
- Various food outlets.
- Public conveniences.
